November 2023 Release Notes

We're excited to share these highlights from our November 18th release of Projector by BigTime.

Deferred Revenue Transfer

The new deferred revenue landing page introduced in August, now allows appropriately permissioned users to transfer deferred revenue balances between contract line items. Use this when a prepaid contract has remaining value that needs to be transferred to another contract. Initiate transfers from the one Contract Line Item (CLI) to another by specifying a source CLI, destination CLI, and transfer amount. Projector handles all the associated GL transactions, FX, and balance information for you.

Deeper Projector - Smartsheet integration

The Smartsheet integrated task management within Projector web has been updated with background synchronization events triggered by updates to key project and role data enabling more intelligent role creation upon initial link & sync of Smartsheet sheets.

New Projector-aware columns have been integrated and include: WBS Code (PPSA), % Complete (PPSA), Remaining Minutes (PPSA), Worked Minutes (PPSA), and Operation (PPSA). The operational field gives PMs the ability to use the embedded sheet to update the remaining time on tasks and their completion status as well. To make the adoption of these features easier, we have updated our Smartsheet sample templates to take advantage of the new columns. Invoicing UI updates for performance and maintainability

Invoicing on the web has been updated to increase user interface stability, performance, and maintainability. The functionality is effectively unchanged, but the page styling and underlying code are much improved.

Bulk Role Actions - Act on all records in a search result

We've extended the bulk action framework initially created for time card import to the role search interface. With this, the 50-role restriction for bulk actions (approve, reject, close out, etc.) has been removed entirely. You can now approve as many roles as you can return in a search result, which is currently 2,000 roles.

New - FRO Time Card services (to be exposed shortly after the releases)

There are new web services to Get, Save, and Delete "For Reporting Only time cards":

• PwsGetFroTimeCards

• PwsSaveFroTimeCards

• PwsDeleteFroTimeCards

For Reporting Only time cards, also known as FRO time cards, are typically used by organizations who use Projector for resourcing only, but want to manage and report on scheduled vs. actual time. This allows you to measure resource utilization, track budgets, and track profit/margin within Projector.

Complete documentation will be provided along with the 2023 Q4 Projector release. When these release notes are updated with the release, a documentation link will be included.

Updated web services (non-breaking):

• A new property TimeCardIdentity of type PwsTimecardRef has been added to:

  • Type PwsSaveTimeOffCardItemResult used by web service PwsSaveTimeCardsAndRto

  • Type PwsSaveTimeCardItemResult used by web service PwsSaveTimeCardsAndRto

  Use of the TimeCardIdentity property allows the caller to refer back to time or time off cards that were previously inserted or updated.

• A new property Prefix has been added to PwsClientDetail which is used by the following web services:

  • PwsGetClient

  • PwsSaveClient

  The introduction of Prefix allows data loading integrations to take advantage of the client prefix.
